A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to experience a luxury resort, right here in the Jacksonville area. A landmark in Atlantic Beach, One Ocean Resort & Spa is a gem that few locals get to experience since it’s right here in our backyards. This staycation experience was one for the books, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect beachfront getaway.
The resort is located in Atlantic Beach, and we were fortunate to have an ocean front room. My husband and I were welcomed with drinks and sweets in our room, in addition to the breathtaking views of the ocean from our corner suite. The rooms are beautifully decorated in shades of aqua that reflect an upscale, nautical décor style throughout the resort. The resort offers a private area of white sand beach, with chairs, umbrellas, and towels for hotel guests.
Azurea Restaurant
During our stay, we were treated to dinner at Azurea, the resort’s signature restaurant. Azurea holds a prestigious reputation in the culinary world, and is one of only a few 4-diamond restaurants in Northeast Florida. We enjoyed the seabass, beef tenderloin, octopus, a watermelon prosciutto amuse-bouche; in addition to a selection of desserts, drinks, and handcrafted chocolates compliments of the chef. Needless to say, we were more than satisfied and thoroughly impressed by the end of the night. It was truly one of the best meals I’ve eaten, and an unforgettable experience.
The Spa at One Ocean
Another memorable part of my stay at One Ocean was a visit to the Spa at One Ocean. I was welcomed into a spacious waiting area, complete with beverages, fruit and cookies, and breathtaking views of the ocean. The spa features an array of massage options, facials, even nail services. I got the signature massage, and it was so relaxing! After my massage, I spent a while in the beautifully decorated spa lounge, complete with a hot tub and showers. It was the perfect self-care experience, and I highly recommend it to travelers and locals alike!
What to do around Atlantic Beach
One Ocean is located in the perfect seaside destination because of its proximity to the beach, as well as local shops and restaurants. There is so much within walking distance, but the hotel also provides bikes for guests to ride around the area.
From the hotel, I walked to Southern Grounds for coffee and breakfast. There are so many good spots for food and shopping at the Atlantic Beach Town Center- an outdoor shopping avenue lined with picturesque palm trees and coastal architecture.
I had such an amazing stay at One Ocean Resort, and I look forward to visiting again!
