When it comes to food in Memphis, there really is something for everyone. From brunch to BBQ, the list of award-winning and cult-favorite restaurants is endless. Here are just a few of my favorite spots to grab a bite in Memphis!

Stax Pancake Kitchen

Stax Pancake Kitchen is so much more than just pancakes, but you’ll be delighted by the number of pancake options this place offers! From seasonal flavors like red velvet and blueberry lemon- to fan favorites like  strawberry shortcake and Elvis’s Peanut Butter & Banana, there’s a reason Stax is a local favorite.

While you’re in, be sure to try out their seasonal coffees and brunch drinks, or try a classic breakfast item with a side of candied bacon!

Hen House Wine Bar

Hen House is one of Memphis’s newest restaurants, and an increasingly popular spot for dinner and drinks. The wine bar also offers an array of delicious menu items, including a rainbow cake for dessert!

If you’re with a group or hosting a party, I highly recommend reserving the “Bubble”- a private room with lounge seating, tables, and colorful décor throughout. Be sure to check out the flamingo-themed bathrooms if you love interior design!

17 Berkshire

17 Berkshire has been one of my favorite spots since before we even moved to Memphis. This is the place to get an amazing cup of tea with macarons and specialty pastries. Everything about this space is instagrammable, from the food and drink to the bright, feminine decor aesthetic.

Beauty Parlor

One of my favorite spots for brunch, the Beauty Parlor is a popular spot for a weekend date or mimosas with friends. The restaurant was once a salon, and you’ll notice vintage hair salon chairs throughout the space.

During COVID, outdoor pods were added outdoors so you can safely enjoy a crepe or bagels with lox in a cute, heated greenhouse. Or try my personal favorite- the fried chicken and watermelon entrée!

Ecco on Overton

If you’re looking for an upscale dining experience, look no further than Ecco. This unpretentious but elegant spot is nestled in Midtown near Overton Park.

The crab claw appetizer is a favorite, and their pastas are available in sharable portions- making this the perfect spot for date night!
